We will be reviewing our upcoming Winter/Spring events, get an updated School Report from Lu, and much more... We welcome all our PTA members back and hope to see some new faces!

Skillin Staff Appreciation Lunch This Thursday!!

Please join us in showing the Skillin School Staff just how much we appreciate them. The PTA will be providing ziti and bread for the Staff Luncheon on Thursday, December 19th.

If able, we ask that parents send/bring in a side dish or dessert to go along with it. Food can be dropped off in the teacher's room or office Wednesday afternoon or Thursday morning.

The PTA wanted to relay some additional information to those members of our Skillin families who have allergies.  The ice cream that will be served at tonight’s Ice Cream Social is from “Wholesome Farms”.

Vanilla Ice Cream Ingredients:  milkfat & nonfat milk, buttermilk, sugar, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, whey, mono & diglycerides, Natural and artificial flavors,  guar gum, locust bean gum, polysorbate 80, carrageenan, Yellow 5 and 6.

Contains: vanilla

Chocolate Ice Cream Ingredients:  milk, cream, sugar, corn syrup, high fructose corn syrup, cocoa processed with alkali, whey, skim milk, buttermilk, mono & diglycerides, guar gum, natural flavors, carob bean gum, polysorbate 80, carrageenan.

COMING TO A SCHOOL NEAR YOU !! VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION Brown September 26 9:00am; Kaler September 27 9:00am; Dyer October 2 9:00am; Skillin October 3 9:00am; Small October 4 9:00am. The South Portland School Department recommends that all school volunteers participate in a training session to ensure the ongoing safety and security of our students, staff, and community. We invite you to attend any session that fits your schedule. If you are a Veteran SoPo School Volunteer, please remember to fill out a new registration form each year. Please join us for our 2013 PTA Kickoff meeting!

NEW PARENTS WELCOME!

Our first PTA meeting of the 2013/2014 school year will be held in the Skillin School Library on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 6:30-7:30pm. We will review our upcoming fall events, fundraisers and calendar, and discuss annual goals.

FREE BABYSITTING will be provided in the gym.

We look forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new parents to our group. PTA Meetings will be scheduled monthly, and rotate on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays from month to month. There will be no December 2013 meeting. If you have not yet had the chance to attend a meeting, please feel free to do so anytime!

Our Next PTA Meeting is TONIGHT at 6:15 in the library.  We will have a presentation about E-books from our librarian Jen Stanbro.  Immediately following our regular meeting we will have a kickoff spring fair meeting at 7:30. 

Free babysitting is provided for the regular PTA Meeting!
